Price range: 235.00 € through 505.00 €
Price per group
Step into the artistic world of the Alhambra through a hands-on workshop inspired by the traditional crafts of Nasrid Granada. In this creative experience, participants discover the geometry, colours and decorative techniques that shaped one of the most refined artistic legacies of al-Andalus.
Depending on the selected workshop, guests may decorate a Nasrid-style ceramic tile, carve a plaster motif, assemble a zellige mosaic, create a marquetry piece inspired by Granada’s taracea tradition, or practise Arabic calligraphy using traditional tools. Each activity is designed to offer an accessible introduction to the craftsmanship behind the Alhambra’s architecture and ornamentation.
The workshop takes place in a central location in Granada and includes the guidance of an artisan, all necessary materials and tools, and the handmade piece created by each participant. It is an ideal cultural experience for travellers who wish to go beyond sightseeing and connect directly with the artistic techniques of al-Andalus.
You can choose between two types of craft workshops: Essential or Premium.
Essential Workshops
These are lighter, introductory workshops designed as a first approach to the traditional arts of the Alhambra. They are ideal for groups who want a creative, enjoyable and accessible cultural activity.
Guests may choose from options such as Nasrid-style ceramic tile decoration, direct plaster carving, a small marquetry piece, or Arabic calligraphy. Each participant creates their own handmade piece and takes it home as a personal souvenir.
Premium Workshops
The Premium option offers a more elaborate experience, with more detailed techniques and larger or more complex pieces. It is recommended for visitors who want a deeper, more refined introduction to Alhambra-inspired craftsmanship.
Guests may choose from zellige or ceramic mosaic, polychrome plasterwork with gold leaf, or a marquetry mirror. As in the Essential workshops, all materials are included and each participant keeps the piece they create.
